Check out all that's on King St this month

1 Jul 2021

As we enter the second half of 2021, July is set to be a month jam-packed with action, entertainment and eating on King St!

Brisbane Cycling Festival  |  Friday 9 July to Sunday 11 July

Australia's largest cycling festival is finally hitting our streets in July! Proudly presented by King St, there's something for all cycling levels and abilities on offer during the festival. The Festival Village entertainment will include daily Nitro Circus expression sessions, Cyclocross racing, BMX events, King St Kick-It Street Criterium, and so much more. You can read more about catching the two-wheeled action around King St here, and make sure you roll into Musette (right next to CAMS Cycling Collective) for their Brisbane Cycling Festival special: coffee and a slice for just $8 over the weekend of 9 - 11 July.

Bastille Day celebrations |  All July

Celebrate France's favourite holiday with a free croissant from King St Bakery, available with the purchase of a Medium or Large coffee throughout July! Up at Montrachet, their Bastille Day celebrations might be booked out, but we're taking the celebration as a reminder to book in for a taste of their expert French gastronomy! Learn more about celebrating Bastille Day on King St here.

Workshops and exhibitions  |  artisan  |  various dates

As always, artisan is proving some thought-provoking works. From 24 July, artisan will be hosting the touring Tamworth Textile Triennial, called "Tension[s] 2020". This exhibition collates textile art in a spatial and visual composition that both contrasts and complements. There is also a range of workshops in July, including (just to name a few) macramé, punch needling, ceramic coil pots, and ink print-making. Get creative now!

Live entertainment at The Tivoli  |  various dates

As always, the Tivoli has an eclectic lineup of music, comedy and conversation in July! Highlights include Brisbane Comedy Festival shows by Fiona O'Loughlin, Anne Edmonds and
Lloyd Langford, Karen from Finance and Peter Helliar, variety performances like Bite Club burlesque and Boozy Bearded Bingo, music from Young Franco and a Simon & Garfunkel and Cat Stevens tribute show, and even a climate change panel discussion. Bookings essential.

One-cent wings for National Wing Day  |  El Camino Cantina  |  Thursday 29 July

Yet another tasty national day is coming to El Camino Cantina! You can enjoy up to ten one-cent wings with the purchase of any full-priced drink on Thursday 29 July (so you might as well start the weekend early and grab one of their frozen margaritas, too)!

From the Brisbane Cycling Festival, French cuisine to footy teams, July is set to be a month of excitement along King St!
