Give us a brief “This is your Life” about Peter!
I've had 25 years of hospitality experience specialising in cafe-start ups and specialty coffee kiosks. I have now switched my focus to fast food ventures and building a reputable food brand. I have close family ties in the industry. My brother, Mark Gloftis, is the owner of Black Sheep Coffee and my cousin, Simon Gloftis, is the owner of Hellenika and SK Steak and Oyster.
Tell us about Potato Boy & Northside Coffee Brewers. What can customers expect?
Potato Boy is a fish 'n’ chip shop which prides itself on sourcing locally, and shopping for produce sustainably and seasonally. Thought and care has gone into every dish. Potato Boy takes fish 'n’ chips to the next level with dishes that you would typically find at a fish 'n’ chip shop but with a modern flair -- a little more gourmet. Inspired by the nostalgia for the old school corner store fish & chip shops.
Northside Coffee Brewers - polished and simple - coffee is the focus. Two signature blends from coffee roaster Black Sheep Coffee - one specifically designed for milk-based coffee and one for black. Food will consist of pastries by Sprout Artisan Bakery and two breakfast burgers: a double-smoked bacon burger with a fried egg and a soft scrambled egg burger with caramelised onions.
