Think about a dining experience where you are absolutely wowed with the food and the service. Where you are treated like royalty – warmly welcomed, the door held for you and at every stage of your meal, the drinks are topped up, your water refilled and beautiful, fresh bread is always available. At Montrachet on King St, this is every single time for every single customer.
Every staff member at Montrachet prides themselves on upholding stellar service, which is why Montrachet was awarded the Best Service in Queensland at last year’s Courier Mail Food Awards! And the awards have kept coming for Montrachet, a true testament to their dedication to fine food and exceptional service.
At this month's Queensland and Northern Territory Restaurant and Caterers' Association Awards, Montrachet was awarded a host of prestigious accolades including European Restaurant of the Year, Restaurant of the Year and Montrachet chef, Tom Manvell, was awarded Chef of the Year. Owners and industry stalwarts, Shannon and Clare Kellam said, “these are such great achievements for our team; we are so proud of you all. After a difficult year, this is fantastic way to head into the festive season and we appreciate your dedication to your colleagues and the business – well done team!”
Montrachet’s menu will take you on a French discovery with every dish handmade onsite, tending to every foodie craving from appetisers to dessert. To keep lunch and dinner interesting, the menu changes seasonally - although there are many signature dishes that you simply MUST experience.
The double-baked soufflé with crab meat and gruyère cheese, finished with a light cream bisque, is simply divine. It comes as an entrée and is deliciously filling. Meat lovers can savour a gorgeous 200g cut of Stockyard’s Black Angus eye fillet served with salad, homemade French fries and your choice of sauce. Free of GMOs and antibiotics, you can rest easy knowing that Montrachet only sources the best ingredients for you. Plus, there’s the French staples of onion soup, snails, seafood bouillabaisse and of course, the decadent desserts; crème brûlée, classic opera cake and Shannon’s award-winning dessert, Paris 2010, just to name a few.
So plan your lunch or dinner date at the award-winning Montrachet soon. Open for lunch Thursday to Friday and dinner Tuesday – Saturday, Montrachet is a fully licensed restaurant with an extensive range of premium wines. Reservations are filling up fast in the lead up to Christmas.
