5 Feb 2020

The year 2020 has blessed us with an extra twenty-four hours this February, and you’re going to need it to enjoy everything our street has to offer over the next 28 (actually, make that 29!) days.

Creative Workshops  | artisan | 8 and 26 February

Creative Workshop King Street

Artisan is giving you even more of a reason to stay indoors this summer with crafty workshops that always help to get the creative juices flowing.

Prefer to make art that is both beautiful and functional? Artisan’s 8 February Marlinspike Rope Craft workshop might just be the ticket! The skilled craftsman Mike Corker will be guiding this lesson and teaching guests some of the maritime’s most intricate and beautiful knots, whose history and practical uses span back hundreds of years.

Rounding out artisan’s workshops for  eCommerce workshop on 26 February which is perfect for those locals whose creativity is better suited to the digital world! From 6pm - 8pm, the workshop’s sponsors Dean & Co. will teach ten lucky guests how to turn their entrepreneurial pursuits into profitable projects with their lessons in branding, copywriting, imagery and more.

To book the workshop that suits you best, head to the artisan’s workshops page.

It’s an eclectic bunch who are gathering at the Tivoli this February, which is set to be jam-packed with parody parties, open mic sessions, and fabulous artists from both here and overseas.

One of the biggest names coming to the Tivoli  is ‘Big Girls (You are Beautiful)’ crooner MIKA on Monday, 24 February, not to mention a killer ‘Empire Strikes Back’ Star Wars-themed burlesque night  earlier in the month on Thursday, 6 February!

It’s a truth universally acknowledged that gigs are better when the crowd is full (of food!), so be sure to pop into any one of our delicious restaurants before you head to the Tivoli for a pre-show feed.
