Gelato Degustation Series at La Macelleria  |  October - December

Day of the Dead  |  El Camino Cantina  |  Tuesday 20 October - Saturday 7 November

Worship at the altar of El Camino Cantina during its 2020 Day of the Dead fiesta and celebrate delicious foods of the Dias de los Muertos holiday, sinful margarita flavours, loud music, colourful costumes and elaborately face-painted staff. 

Dial up the daily Dias de los Muertos rituals with:

Terror Tuesdays: new Cadillac taco flavours, including chorizo, feta, mango salsa, jalapenos, feta and coriander; tempura prawn, habanero salsa, guacamole and coriander; and popcorn chicken, shredded iceberg, pico de gallo, chipotle aioli and chives

artisan launches its new Machinery Street gallery with a selection of otherworldly headdresses from the collection of Her Divine Holiness Pope Alice in recognition of her 40th year on planet Earth.

With a wide range of new skills to learn or revisit under the expert tutelage of some of Queensland's finest makers, there's something for everyone. Join artisan for an engaging suite of programming facilitated by seasoned makers of the artisan network and some new friends who are looking forward to initiating a new audience into their craft and design practice. With implementation of an extensive range of COVID-safe protocols the team can't wait to introduce you to the very talented facilitators.

Hand forged bangle with Gerhard Herbst
Cost: $190 per person 
Suitable for ages 16+, no experience necessary 

In this workshop, using just a few tools, students will learn the basic jewellery and forging techniques needed to create a beautiful sterling bangle with you will get to take home. Students will work with copper and silver wire to explore a variety of techniques to create something beautiful that you can wear.

Micro macrame earrings with Vicrame Creations
Cost: $90 per person 
Suitable for ages 16+, no experience necessary, but this workshop does require to learn intricate skills so is best suited for keen eyes and fingers. Other abilities welcome - your new skills may just take a little longer to implement. 

Learn to create unique micro macrame earrings inspired by traditional South American techniques with Vicrame Crations. Vicrame will guide you through the process of learning artisanal skills that you can take away with you, PLUS you'll get to take home your own pair of handcrafted earrings that you can wear with pride.
