If you love a good food truck then you’re in luck!  Welcome to Bowen Hills – a new indoor/outdoor space dedicated to great food trucks, will open mid-February 2018 in the Dairy Hall and Sugar Building, which have been repurposed to preserve the heritage of the precinct.

From the 100 Burgers Group, the creators of Welcome to Thornbury, Melbourne’s first permanent bar and food truck stop, Welcome to Bowen Hills will bring people together over tantalizing tipples and a seemingly endless supply of international eats from food trucks which will rotate daily, offering a diverse range of foodie treats.

Designed by Derlot Interiors, award-winning director Alexander Lotersztain has created both a permanent indoor bar featuring craft brews, jugs of cocktails and a separate boutique gin cocktail bar called Swill.

Brisbane Showgrounds Project Director Andrew Hay said he was very excited to have such an exceptional offering right in the heart of King Street.

“The boutique laneway retail experience is unlike anything Brisbane has seen before.  It’s full of history and atmosphere with a unique fitout, perfectly suiting the friendly community growing in this urban lifestyle precinct,” he said.

100 Burgers Group founder Daragh Kan said the response to Welcome to Thornbury was so remarkable that we had to roll the concept out to more locations.

“Outdoor drinking and dining is such an essential part of the Queensland lifestyle so we’re confident that Brisbanites will flock to Welcome to Bowen Hills.”

The Brisbane Showgrounds is one of Brisbane’s most well connected and walkable neighbourhoods, a lively entertainment, retail and events quarter providing an inner-city lifestyle like no other.
