From winter Movies in the Park, hands-on workshops to sweet treats, there's something for everyone to jump into in June.

As if their authentic gelato wasn't indulgent enough, La Macelleria is offering a special for winter: a rich chocolate fondant lava cake with raspberry coulis and a scoop of gelato (any flavour of your choice) on top! You can grab this decadent treat in store on King St every Tuesday - Saturday.

Free trial of CAMS Running Club  |  CAMS  |  Multiple dates 

As part of their holistic approach to health and fitness, CAMS is welcoming new runners to join the crew for free, kicking off at 6 am on Wednesdays from CAMS and circuiting the Showgrounds, with guidance from a coach to assist with running and stretching techniques. King St Book Club  |  Fat Dumpling  |  Tues 18 June

Come along to the King St Book Club and join us for an evening of good food, wine and conversation. This month we'll be discussing Claire Fuller's Unsettled Ground, the Women's Prize for Fiction shortlisted novel of betrayal and resilience, love and survival. Unsettled Ground is a portrait of life on the fringes of society that explores with dazzling emotional power how we can build our lives on broken foundations, and spin light from darkness. Sunday roast  |  Beerhaus  |  Every Sunday

Beerhaus has introduced a new type of Sunday session, serving up golden, crispy roast pork with creamy mash, glazed carrots, red cabbage, Yorkshire pudding, apple compote and onion jus for $20 with any drink purchase! To top off your Sunday arvo, there's live music between 1 pm and 4 pm weekly, too. Book a table here

Exhibitions and workshops  |  artisan  |  throughout June 

Running until 17 July, artisan's current major exhibition, Dystopia/Utopia features seven visual artists responses to speculative fiction pieces, and offers an augmented reality app to provide visitors with a multi-layered performative experience. 

In addition to the exhibition, three workshops will allow participants to get hands-on creating their own works: character sculpting using polymer clay on 12 June, soft sculpture using pillows on 19 June, and ceramic house- or planter-making on 26 June.

King of the Wings menu  |  El Camino Cantina  |  Throughout June 

While you might know them for their Mexican fare, El Camino Cantina is kicking things up a notch, adding ten new rubs and sauce options to their chicken wings menu for the month of June! Options include mango habanero, The Nashville, and teriyaki, and you can grab wings for just 10 cents with any drink purchase every Wing Wednesday!

Our friends at the Jazz Music Institute (JMI) will continue with their ever-popular jazz on King St throughout June and into July. There'll be live trios on King St, street parades and more. Check out the schedule here

Our local venue for live music and performance has some killer shows in June, including San Cisco on Thursday 10 June, James Reyne on Friday 11 June, the LGBTIQ+ Elders Dance Club on Sunday 13 June, and Wolfmother on Friday 18 June. Shows and Expos  |  Brisbane Showgrounds  |  Multiple dates 

The Showgrounds host some of the biggest expos and shows that come to Brisbane, and the June agenda is no exception! Queensland's biggest caravanning event, Let’s Go Queensland Caravan and Camping Supershow, will return from Wednesday 2 June and run through to Monday 7 June, with 200+ exhibitors showing the latest models of caravans, motorhomes, campervans, camper/tent trailers and much more.  

Sunday 27 June will see the Your Local Wedding Guide Brisbane Expo pop up with the best wedding industry professionals, inspirational showcases, live music, expo specials, discounts, prizes and more!

You'll soon be able to enjoy Flourish, King St's free fitness classes, on King St! Too cold you say? Don't stress, we have got a nice, indoor spot organised so you won't have any excuses!
