Did you know that the precinct is home to one of Australia’s best regarded musical institutes, the Jazz Music Institute (JMI)? Endorsed by some of the greatest jazz musicians in history including John Scofield, Wynton Marsalis and Dave Liebman, the iconic Brisbane institute is renowned for its intimate setting, a unique jazz curriculum and incredible acoustics.
Bringing together jazz lovers and musicians from all around Australia, the JMI regularly host jam sessions to showcase live jazz music right here on King Street’s doorstep.
