King St Book Club | Tuesday 12 October

This month's King St Book Club will cover Hannah Bent's new novel "When Things Are Alive They Hum". Join the club at artisan to explore themes of love, grief and fate in a discussion guided by Avid Reader, with a glass of wine and nibbles provided by a neighbouring King St restaurant included in your $50 ticket. New exhibition and workshops | artisan

artisan is launching their new exhibition, Pulp Friction, on Saturday 2 October! The exhibition (running until 12 November) hosts a series of designs, installations and complex paper works that examine cultural issues of the Chinese diaspora, including Chinese folk culture, cultural tourism, and the commodification of cultures. 

In addition to the new exhibition, artisan's October workshop lineup offers the chance to make clay vessels, bobbin lace, silver rings from wax casts, boro bags, and crochet. You can read more and book in to workshops here.

 

  

The Finders Keepers | Brisbane Showgrounds | Friday 15-Sunday 17 October

Shop from a hand-picked assortment of local makers, designers and artists with everything from ceramics to jewellery and pet accessories on offer! Various performances | The Tivoli
