Don't forget to celebrate mum on Sunday

Whether she's a foodie or just deserves a little something, King St is the perfect spot to plan a Mother's Day she'll remember.

If you're organised (be quick, orders will close soon), get in touch with King Street Bakery to pre-order some delectable handmade chocolates, a tropical sponge covered in white chocolate coconut, a high tea for two, or Mum's favourite pastry, all available to be picked up on Saturday (or Sunday from their sister location).

Celebrating her early on Saturday 8 May, or still searching for a gift? Pay a visit to artisan's Mother's Day market, featuring over 50 different makers and an Ikebana demonstration at 10:30 am, or gift her a hands-on Ikebana workshop taking place from 1 pm. While you're on King St, stop by Fiera to browse their range of unique accessories, homewares and skincare and apparel.

MontrachetXin Chao and La Macelleria are all open on Saturday to satisfy that busy Saturday hunger or spoil Mum to a delicious dinner. La Macelleria are celebrating with some gorgeous Mother's Day Special Gelato sticks - a blueberry and cream gelato inside covered with white chocolate! Limited stock, so get in quick!

On Sunday, start her day right with a coffee and a beautiful breakfast or brunch, at our own roastery Kuhl-Cher Coffee (bookings essential), or a mushroom and pecorino omelette from Musette. Musette also stocks funky handmade Pottery for the Planet ceramic coffee cups from $33, making the perfect gift for a sustainable mum!

When it comes to feeding the family on Sunday, Il Verde will be open for lunch and dinner and serving up Il Verde's Mari o Monti, a three-course Mother's Day menu ($59/pp) - bookings can be made online here. While Fat Dumpling is serving up a special Mother's Day four-course banquet ($35/pp) - give them a call on 32161261 to book your table!

Whenever you visit over the Mother's Day weekend, remember you can get three hours of FREE parking at King St Parking every Saturday and Sunday!
