Teaming up with The Tivoli, we're thrilled to present ‘Open Season’, an energetic two-month program filled to the brim with music, art, and delectable culinary creations.
Last Night on King St
Save some energy for the grand finale of Open Season - Last Night. Kicking off on Saturday, August 24, We'll be closing down King St to throw another one of our epic street parties in collaboration with The Tivoli and Blak Social. From 3:30pm-9:30pm, this free event will see the street come alive with pop-up food stalls and market delights, roving entertainment, and live music from headline acts, including ARIA-nominated Emma Donovan.
Watch Australia’s top Indigenous musicians live on stage, enjoy tasty treats at our Xin Chao, Fat Dumpling, and Claw BBQ pop-up food stalls, and head to the bar to sip on the exclusive Open Season lager. Dance under the stars at our silent disco with DJ Kritty, enjoy performances by First Nations dance troupe First Creatives, and watch as local artist, Sam Harrison paints a mural live on site. There will also be a line-up of unique market stalls by First Nations creators to explore and shop. This newly formed hip-hop act, made up of proud First Nations artists Dallas Woods, Nooky and Angus Field, will take to the King St stage on August 24.
Githabul, Migunberri-Yugumbeh woman BADASSMUTHA will bring her eclectic sound, inspired by reggae, alt-pop, soul and funk, to the King St stage on August 24.
The First Nations, youth transitional band run by Digi Youth Arts will bring their smooth coastal melodies to the King St stage on August 24.
